22nd Century Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN
Behavioral Health for a local contract nursing job in Trenton, New
Jersey.Job Description & Requirements
Shifts available:
03:15 PM to 11:15 PM - Monday through Friday with every other
weekend
Lunch-30 Minutes (unpaid)
The candidate needs to work in Forensic.
Need to complete training and work schedule are below:-
Two and Two - half weeks for orientation. (08:00 AM to 04:00
PM)
General orientation Mon to Friday 8am - 4pm for 2 -- weeks followed
by Patient Care Oreintation 3 Weeks on Day shift, 2 Weeks on
Evening shift and 1 Week Night shift.
Candidates need to work in evening shift.
Note - Candidates must be fully vaccinated with the latest booster
shots and also provide vaccination proof of all.
Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s ):
PC
Computer software to be used: MS Word, PDF, MS Teams, Zoom
Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Forensic
experience preferred
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: RN
Desired skills: Psychiatric experience preferred especially with a
forensic population
Duties/Responsibilities:
--- Patient Medications and Medication Room, Education Groups,
Vitals Assessment of patients on precautions (RNs Only)
--- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for
patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
--- Refers patients to MOD or medical clinic to further
evaluation.
--- Maintains continuity of nursing care in all units
--- Conducts Cross shift reports to nurses and MSO.
--- Report significant information to applicable staff per
policies.
--- Conducts cross-shift narcotic count with an oncoming nurse in
accordance with the law.
--- "Redline" all newly transcribed orders (2nd shift).
--- "Blackline" all newly transcribed orders (3rd shift).
--- Acts as a supervisor as assigned.
--- Serves as nurse preceptor for new personnel.
--- Attends all mandatory training.
--- Completes yearly nursing competencies.
--- Involvement in Patient Education.
--- Facilitates patient education groups.
--- Conducts Individual patient teaching, as appropriate.
--- Involved in patient discharge planning.
--- Maintains standard safety precautions onwards.
--- Reports hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
--- Conducts daily emergency equipment checks.
--- Completes audits as required.
--- Oversees Clinical oversight of unlicensed support staff.
--- Prepares Clinical supervision of ancillary MSO staff.
--- Complete annual MSO competencies.
--- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and
revise patient treatment plans
--- Documents nursing care and the outcomes in the treatment
plan.
--- Serves as a resource to Nursing and the treatment team.
--- Participates actively in treatment planning.
--- Document and Address treatment plan goals in Weekly/Monthly
