- The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will be responsible
for managing the overall calendar for, and distribution of, all
company-wide emails to colleagues. This individual will also
oversee the end-to-end development and distribution of the manager
newsletter. The successful candidate will play a critical role in
ensuring effective communication and engagement with our employees,
fostering a positive and informed work environment.Key
Responsibilities:
- Global Email Calendar and Distribution:
- Lead the oversight of the calendar for all emails to colleagues
globally.
- Distribute all emails to colleagues globally, ensuring timely
and accurate delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information
and content for emails.
- Connect with appropriate strategy & operations colleagues in
Corporate Affairs on overall calendaring of company events and
engagements.
- Align with translation team to understand translation impacts
for planned content.
- Ensure all emails are accurate, consistent, and adheres to
brand guidelines.
- Manager Newsletter Development and Distribution:
- Oversee the end-to-end development and distribution of the
manager newsletter.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather content and
insights for the newsletter.
- Develop engaging and informative content for the manager
newsletter, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and
objectives.
- Utilize appropriate communication channels to distribute the
newsletter and track engagement metrics.
- Internal Messaging and Content Development:
- Partner with internal communications team members to align
content across communications channels.
- Assess need and provide recommended approach for potential
newsletter supporting engagement with content on new intranet.
Manage, as applicable.
- Ensure that internal messaging is clear, consistent, and
aligned with the company's values, culture, and brand.Metrics:
- Lead metrics and analytics for emails, tracking the
effectiveness of messaging and engagement levels.
- Partner with Associate Director, Internal Communications, to
assess effectiveness across internal channels.
- Recommend data-driven, real-time and long-term changes to
content strategy and execution based on analytics.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including Leader communicators, subject matter experts, and
cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and
insights to inform content creation and communication
strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on
communication best practices and strategies.Qualifications &
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on
content strategy, editorial planning, and internal
communications.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the
ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills. Proven
experience in developing and executing successful editorial
strategies for websites or digital platforms.
- Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of
organizational issues and how to resolve challenges among competing
workstreams.
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and
counterparts at all levels of the company, both within the
Corporate Communications team and across the larger matrixed
organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making
skills.
- Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and
balance multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or
